I have always upgraded my bikes to HID’s, they are needed for back road night riding. Also they make road markings and street signs glow in the dark. The only downside is the time to warm up, so I wanted to try LED’s with their instant on ability, and very low current draw on the electrical system.
I also got Safego T10 LED White W5W 5-SMD 5050 Super Bright 194 168 2825 Wedge LED Car Lights Source Replacement Bulbs Interior Lamps Pack of 10 for the running lights while I was installing the headlights.
I did this in the middle of the day so I did it in the garage to be able to see the difference between OEM and LED.
Below is the OEM Low beam and then High beam.
To install the new LED’s I had to take the hold down spring out and bend the end that goes under the hook to clear the heatsinks. Make sure you remove the spring before bending otherwise you will break the lens assembly. I removed the base from the LED’s (push down and twist), mounted it in the lens assembly then installed the LED’s.
Below is the LED Low beam then High beam.
This is what they look like coming down the road, should help cell phone talking, face painting, burger eating, cagers to see me better.
